How do I know if there is wax on my car?

A good way to tell if it's time to wax your car is by the water bead test. Sprinkle some water on your car, and if the water beads that form are more than 1/2-inch in diameter or if it doesn't bead up at all, it's time to wax the car.

What is the difference between wax and polish?

Polish is a mildly abrasive substance which sands the surface of paint smooth and allows it to shine. Polishing your car can remove imperfections, scratches and oxidation. A Polish is mildly abrasive (some are more abrasive than others), and this is why it restores shine.

It is then allowed to dry before being wiped off, creating a protective layer for the vehicle's paint and clear coat from the ultraviolet rays of the sun, which can fade the color of a car's paint.
